Usually an adventure starts something like this: “Want to go to (insert random city here)?” Me: “Hell yes.” This time, that city was New Orleans. Ted and our friend Dave came up with the idea to take a road trip to The Big Easy last year when they were studying in London. Our other friend [...]
Paper. That’s the assignment I was given in my studio class this week. Concept photographs are an entirely new outlet to me, but brainstorming photo ideas and sketching them out has done wonders for my creativity. It’s even inspired me to follow in the footsteps of photographer Rick Nunn and begin a 52 weeks project. [...]
When it comes down to it, there’s no excuse why I never posted the final photo of my 365 project. I think part of me didn’t want it to be over, and as a perfectionist, there was no perfect way to end this project that changed my life. After months removed from taking a photo every [...]
Here are more images from our adventure to Dublin. (See Ted’s awesome photos here.) *Editing note: Ted and I recently bought VSCO Film, which I used to edit most of the photos in this batch. If you’re looking to recreate that film look, it’s definitely worth the purchase.

Boston in three words: Cozy. Young. Healthy. Here are more photos from my trip.
Boston is known as America’s walking city. I took full advantage of exploring Boston by foot when I visited a friend there the week before Christmas. In two days, I walked about 12 miles. This is what I saw.
Over Thanksgiving break, Ted and I took a day trip to Philadelphia. The main purpose was to experiment with the (film) Canon A-1 I bought him for Christmas last year. We didn’t get very far on foot, but that didn’t matter at all. We had another amazing adventure.
Another day, another adventure. This time it was 24 hours in NYC with Ted (be sure to check out his amazing images from our trip here). Check back for more images in the coming days.
Taking photos of people is an art. Even when you already know your subject, there is a completely different relationship when you put a camera between you (whether it’s a DSLR or an iPhone). And when the subject is a stranger, there is only a limited amount of time to earn their trust and make [...]
