My love of Instagrams is undeniable. The simplicity of the photographs boosts my creativity. I post photos using both my iPhone camera and my Canon 5D, but there is something liberating about using an iPhone to take photographs. While Ted and I were talking the other night and browsing through our Instagram streams (something we do almost every night), we realized just how loyal we are to certain filters. It’s gotten to the point where I can tell which filters other people use on Instagram. As a challenge – and friendly competition – Ted and are taking on a mini project. There are 17 filters. We will use a different filter on a photo each day for 17 days straight. The project starts today with our trek to Charlottesville, Va. to see one of our favorite bands, Explosions in the Sky.
*The photo is not today’s Instagram but one of my favorites I’ve taken. Be sure to follow me (emilyshearing) and Ted (tedrysz3) on Instagram to see our daily photos or on Twitter under the hashtag #17days17filters.
